How did you come up with the Piston?

We designed a fully functional art structure that would be symbolic of racing. The Piston’s dual purpose of being a marquee/photo op, and a place to secure a memory, made it a great fit.

What exactly can I put in my Fan Space?

You can choose to secure whatever it means to you and your memories that were made here. A detailed description is available on our Terms and Conditions.

Why are there Shared and Private Fan Spaces?

We created two different options for Fans, just like they choose their seat at a race. Some Fans choose Grandstand seats, while others enjoy the race in the Suites. Either option is great, because you are at the Raceway!

How can I visit the Piston during the off race weekends?

There are many things to see and do in the area of Richmond along with visiting the Raceway. The physical location will be outside the ticketed areas of the Raceway, and will be available to be viewed during normal business hours without special access.

How long do you think this Piston will be here?

The idea of securing a memory is to not have a limited time, but it is a permanent placement. The program will continue on well past our generation and will expand to future ones.

Why are there plaques and not bricks?

We created plaques to have the memories be visible as other Fans are enjoying the Venue and not as considered looking down to examine for a brick. At this point, there is no discussion regarding a brick campaign.

Can put a picture of me or my favorite driver on a plaque?

Yes, the plaque options are customizable in that you can select what your memory consists of. Some people love the Raceway regardless, while some follow their Driver or team, making this a great way to celebrate those memories in a plaque.

Why is there a color and a more black and white option of plaque?

We created two options for Fans. The color does have a high resolution, but the black and white style captures the memory look. When you see an old black and white picture it takes to you the memory as opposed to seeing color and the dated look it may have for years gone by. Either way they are great way to capture a memory!
